Attached to a Cedarapids paver, the MS-4 mat smoothness machine offers non-stop, continuous paving capabilities. Patented shock-absorbing, oscillating push rollers eliminate
truck “bumping” to reduce screed settling, improving overall mat quality and smoothness. The MS-4’s 120 cubic foot receiving hopper delivers 7-ton
surge capacity, ample time for truck exchanges. An increased elevator operating angle optimizes asphalt discharge height to increase the paver hopper’s storage capacity. By incorporating the use of available hopper inserts, a combined paver/MS-4 surge capacity of up to 36 tons is achieved. Large pitch, in-hopper augers reblend asphalt to aid in the
reduction of thermal and material segregation. The hydraulically driven, high capacity discharge conveyor offers production capacities to 1321 TPH. A sonic sensor monitors the paver hopper’s asphalt level and opens/closes the MS-4’s feed gates to meet the paver’s needs, ensuring a
consistent flow of material.
The MS-4 costs less than half that of similar machines, has fewer moving parts, uses less fuel and eliminates the need for an additional operator...all significantly reducing both short
and long term operating costs.
